This section is designed to support the learning of economics in upper secondary schools and vocational colleges.
First familiarise yourself with the economics information package. It contains a lot of material that tests and extends your knowledge through games, quizzes and other activities.
The exercises on monetary policy lead you to the basics of monetary policy. Once you have learned those, you can test your skills as a central banker by playing the monetary policy game or the quiz in the section Games and quizzes. You can use the money value converter to examine how the value of money has changed from the 1860s to the present day.
Once you have answered the questions on statistics, you can interpret statistical charts with a new precision. The exercises on loans and interest rates help you to understand what the real price of money is.
Some of the questions and essays are rather demanding. In order to answer them, you will have to look for information on both Finnish and European websites. Good luck!
