In autumn 2016, the economic education tour (‘Talous tutuksi’) will go to Helsinki, Oulu and Tampere. This year’s theme will be ‘Economics and everyday life’.
The aim is to give teachers further insight into topical economic issues by offering interesting and thought-provoking talks by specialists. Teachers receive tips and inspiration for including current economic issues in their courses.
The educational tours are organised by the Association for Teachers of History and Social Studies in Finland (HYOL), in cooperation with the Federation of Finnish Financial Services (FFI), the National Board of Education, the Finnish Foundation for Share Promotion, The Bank of Finland and the Economic Information Office. Enrolment for the one-day seminars is free of charge.
The event in Helsinki on 15 September will be broadcast live via webcast. To watch the webcast, all you need is a computer, an Internet connection and speakers. You will see and hear the presentations and see the possible presentation slides. You can also participate in the discussion in the chat view.
